You can download Microsoft PowerPoint 2008 as part of the Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac suite of applications, which also includes Word, Excel, Entourage, Messenger and Remote Desktop. The Office 2008 download is free to use for 30 days, after which you must purchase a license. You can purchase a license for just PowerPoint, or for the entire suite of applications. Go to the Microsoft Office 2008 download site (see Resources). Click the “Download Free Trial” button. Enter your home country, email address, name and user information. Use the check box to indicate if you want to receive mailings from Microsoft. Click “Sign up now.” Write the Trial Edition product key on a piece of paper, or print the web page. Click the “Download Now” button and press “Save File” in the pop-up window.
