A squat move is designed to focus on two of the largest muscles in the body, the quadriceps and buttocks. Building those muscles is extremely beneficial. It helps the body move more efficiently. Start off by standing on the step. Move towards the right side of the step, so that the right leg is nearly off the step. Shift most the weight onto the left leg. Lift the right leg upwards, towards the stomach. Move it slightly over and place your foot on the ground, roughly a foot away from the step and directly to the right. Bend the right leg at the knee. Push the body downward towards the floor, bending at the waist. Keeping the knees behind the toes and the back straight, go as low as possible until the body is in a squatting position, like a baseball catcher ready to receive a pitch. The lower the squat, the harder the workout, but be careful not to put pressure on the knees or back. The left knee should also be slightly bent and used only for balance.
