How Do You Disable Autofill?

0

Autofill is a convenient Firefox feature added to the web browser so that form textboxes are automatically filled with information. Although it’s a convenient feature, it also poses a security threat. The settings, such as private information, credit card numbers and other data, are found on the local machine. If hackers obtain access to your computer, the information can be stolen. Disabling autofill in Firefox only takes a few steps. Click the “Tools” menu at the top of the Firefox browser window and select “Options.” This opens a new windows for Firefox settings. Click the “Privacy” icon. Uncheck the selection “Remember what I enter in forms and in the search bar” in the “History” section. Click the “Clear Now” button in the “Private Data” section. This clears the current information that is saved. Click the “OK” button.
