How Do You Delete Instant Message History?
Many instant message programs are set, by default, to save your chat history. This might not be a desirable feature for people who share a computer with others since it could pose a security threat. Delete the folder in which the history is saved or delete the chat history within the instant message program. Popular instant messenger programs, such as Yahoo!, Windows Live and Skype, simplify the process of clearing message archives. Delete archived messages in Yahoo! Messenger. Open Yahoo! Messenger. Click on “Messenger” on the toolbar and select “Preferences.” Click “Clear Archive Now” to delete your chat. Clear chat history in Windows Live Messenger.
