AVI is a video format that is often used to play movies on your computer. The format MP4 is also a video format, and is used by some portable devices that can play videos, such as iPod video. Although these files can be burned onto a DVD, you won’t be able to play them in a DVD player unless they are changed to a DVD format such as VOB.
