How Do You Calculate High School Grade Point Average?
High school students should stay aware of grade point averages as they progress through their school years. High schools generally compile an honor roll that gives recognition to students who earn grade point averages over 3.0. Many high schools also have minimum grade point average requirements for their student athletes. High school drivers may also have lower insurance premiums when they achieve higher grade point averages. When high school students begin to consider secondary education, a high grade point average will help these students get into college, as well as receive grants and scholarships.
