During the transition period (i.e. from 1 November 2010 until 31 October 2011) only the relevant NABERS Energy rating is required to be disclosed. A BEEC, which will include the tenancy lighting assessment, is not required to be disclosed in relation to the sale, lease or sublease of disclosure affected buildings (or disclosure affected areas of buildings) before the end of the transition period on 1 November 2011. The Department expects training for the tenancy lighting assessment rules to be available to existing NABERS accredited assessors around April 2011 and CBD accreditation to be available shortly thereafter.
