How do the Blo Pens work?
At first it took us a few minutes to get this part figured out! I finally broke down and really looked at the instructions. Usually this type of thing is very self-explanatory, but I wasn’t getting the markers put together right. Once we got the pen inserted properly, it was very easy! You simply hold the pen up to your mouth, aim it where you want the color to go, then blow. The instructions do say to experiment with distance and blowing to get the affect you’re looking for, and I agree! If you get too close and blow too hard, it is like dumping color on the paper. It gets really wet and bleeds underneath the stencil. If you stand back a bit and blow lightly, you get more of a spray effect. My daughter had no trouble doing this herself, once we found the right distance. I did have to remind her not to blow so hard, but they’re her cards so I pretty much let her do as she liked. By the way, the three pens you get are pink, red and purple. You can also write with them as a normal marker
