How do students receive permission to take an overload in a semester?

Students with a cumulative GPA below 3.00 are required to have the Overload Form filled out and all required signatures obtained. The signed form should be brought to the Student Services Center for processing. Students with a 3.00 cumulative GPA or above do not need permission to register for 18 or more hours in a semester, but must come into the Student Services center to request their hour limit to be raised. During the summer, a student must complete the Overload Form to take more than five semester hours in any one session.
