How Do I Use TurnItIn?
• To use TurnItIn you need three things: • an email account, • the course ID number and password for TurnItIn that has been set up in advance by your instructor (this is a 6-7 digit number and then a password of some sort, often a variation of the instructor’s or the course’s name, not the course number of the class in the DACC course listing) and • your paper in a file in its final form (including Works Cited if requested by your instructor). You can only submit each paper to TurnItIn once, so make sure you have it all together in a single file. • At TurnItIn you will create a personal account if you have never done so before. • You will Log In. • You will then “enroll” in the class for which you are submitting the paper. • Find the correct paper assignment and select “Submit”. • Type in a title for your paper in the box. • Browse for your paper and select the appropriate file to upload. You can also copy and paste your paper if you prefer. If for some reason you have difficulty uploa
