You don’t have to use a disk. Vista has a utility that allows you to reinstall without the factory disk. When you turn on your computer press the F11 key and follow the onscreen instructions. That will restore the PC to factory settings and will re-register Windows as if it’s a new installation. You will lose all your data so be sure to back it all up first!
