To list a product in a subcategory you must specify search keywords in the posting template. Platinum customers with their own Platinum Categories need to enter their Platinum keywords to have products appear correctly. Amazon will Search Keywords, the item title, the category selected and the SKU to figure out exactly what the item is and what lower level category it should go into.
