How do I set up a new course on Moodle?
A. If the course is already on Banner, or is due to be added to Banner next term, then you just need to email Moodle-support@rhul.ac.uk to ask for the course to be activated. If the course is a non-Banner course, then you will need to send in a new course proposal to Moodle support. Please include the following information: • Course Title • Course Description • Course Start Date • Course Tutor(s) • Contact(s) (Tutor responsible for the course, student enrolment in Moodle, etc.) Q. Staff Training (for Tutors only) A. There is an ongoing programme of training sessions to help you set up your course in Moodle. We also run workshops on more advanced aspects of Moodle (e.g. Quizzes, Forums and Wikis). Please go to the Training Session Website to book onto any of these sessions. If you would like help with a specific aspect of building your course, please contact Royal Holloway’s Senior Learning Technologist Martin King on ext 4371 / Martin.King@rhul.ac.uk, or Learning Technologist David Thu
