Yes, previous answer seems a bit skimpy on “detail”!? From what I know, I THINK it could be done, and probably not TOO difficult. YM Message Archives are stored in: “C:\Program Files\ Yahoo\ Messenger\ Profiles\ eagle_kiwi\ Archive\ Messages” (or close to that format anyway – and I’ve added spaces for readability here). Within that folder is a subfolder for each user you’ve dealt with, and within THAT is simply a separate DAT file for each DAY that you chatted. These DAT files contain the text, but in encoded form, basically only readable via YM. I’d suggest that though you can’t read/edit those records directly, you probably CAN gently copy some/all of those from the appropriate folder on your OLD system to the similar on on NEW system, then my FEELING would be your “new” YM would suddenly display all that “extra” archive. But I don’t/can’t guarantee it! Be warned… it COULD mess up your new YM totally (at worst) – so either back up well, or be prepared to maybe lose things (at worst
