How do I make a booking at a restaurant?
Honestly, it’s not hard. Call the restaurant and just say, “Hello, I’d like to make a reservation for tomorrow evening (or for lunch on Tuesday, or whenever).” Then THEY will ask YOU everything else they need to know, like how many people, and what time, and what name. So you tell them all that when they ask, and for the name, you simply give your family surname. “The name is Jones.” If your phone number doesn’t come up on their system they’ll probably ask for it, so have it ready; they need it in case there’s an unexpected problem and they have to close early or something.
