How do I increase DPI for an advert?

0

You can increase the dpi in some programmes such as Photoshop Elements or Photoshop and a number of other photo editing programmes. If you go to the image size menu, select constrain proportions and resample image, then enter 300 in the dpi box, and bicubic or bicubic smoother as the method the programme will increase the dpi. It does this by interpolation – that is adding pixels where needed. You shouldn’t go more than 200% (double) in size or you will lose some quality. If you don’t have a programme that does this you will need to produce your drawing bigger – for example if you are getting 72dpi then do your artwork four and a half times as big so when reduced it will be 300dpi.
