The Louisiana Dept. of Education has set up a website of instructional materials that are needed by schools and you could check this site to see if your donations are appropriate. You can check this website to see if your donations are needed. See http://spsa.net/flr/ The American Library Association’s website indicates that at this point, libraries that were most affected by Katrina still need extensive repair, renovation, or complete rebuilding before they will be able to accept book donations.
