Step 2 Locate the ethernet port on the device that you want to connect to the computer. Step 3 Insert the other end of the ethernet cable that’s attached to the ethernet-to-USB adapter into the ethernet port on the device. Step 4 Find a USB port on the computer. A USB port is labeled “USB” and it will also have an image that resembles a triton, or a three-pronged spear. Step 5 Insert the USB end of the ethernet-to-USB adapter into the USB port.
