If you do not have an antistatic bracelet or an antistatic mat and still plan to remove the motherboard, which is dangerous, touch a grounded metal object, such as a doorknob, and proceed to the next step. Remove the screws from the back of the computer. Remove both side panels and start disconnecting all the hardware from the motherboard. When all the hardware is disconnected form the motherboard, go to the right side panel and unfasten the screws that are holding up the motherboard.
