How Do I Answer Questions in an Interview?

First, task is to listen, so that you make sure you’re answering the question they’re actually asking. If you’re not sure, ask for clarification or paraphrase what you think you heard to be sure. Answer your questions then in a structured way. You can either paraphrase, which means to include part of the question in your answer or set the stage in a way such as, “Well, when I was a…” And then give your former job title and then give the former company. This way they can follow on your resume exactly what you’re talking about.
