How did the Gifted Education program changes fit with the district’s process for making programmatic changes elsewhere?
Each program in ISD 279 participates in a regular cycle called the Program Improvement Process (PIP). Data collection and research in “best practice” is at the core of new program implementation. A strategic planning team was convened for the purpose of recommending specific improvements for the Gifted Education program, based on research and best practice.
