How did the CSAC program get started?
The Windward High School Connecting School and Community Program (CSAC) began in 2003 when the Ferndale Community received a $250,000 grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Since this time WHS has been successfully working to bring students and the local community together for meaningful collaborations. Washington State University played a crucial role in getting the program started and now teachers and students support the program.
