How can someone identify me using my email address and IP address?
HI someone can’t find you just from your e-mail address but can find your location from your ip address..If you have sent mail to them then by using the e-mail header they can trace your ip address…They can easily trace the ip address from e-mail id using sites like http://aruljohn.com/info/howtofindipaddress/#ipdetect here they help you to track the ip address from the e-mail header .If they have your email then just by coping the e-mail header from the received mail and paste it in the text box found in tha above site which i posted here .Then they display the Ip address of the e-mail sender along with information like country ,ISP name .After finding the ip address they can trace your location just by doing Ip search for your ip address at sites like Ip-Details.com here they display details like ip location ,country ,ISP address and so on and not your exact address.
You can be identified by your email address, since it’s uniquely yours in the entire world. Your IP address can vary, so it’s only an identifier to other computers on the internet for as long as you have it. You can hide your IP address from some servers. You can’t hide it from your provider (so anyone with a search warrant can identify you through it) and you can’t hide it from your email.

Yes, it is possible to hide your ip. It is called ip spoofing. Hackers use that technique to get into the private network they targeting. What’s gonna happen is the the security devices sees it is a part of its network ip. Or You can disable your ICMP on your router, so that whenever a PC trying to ping/trace route your network they won’t get any reply.(it is not really going to hide your IP, but it helps) Yes, they can identify you using your email add, by the mail server. They can see what is your ip and everything there.
