How can I submit items for the Current Events or Newsmakers sections?
The Columbia County News-Times welcomes submissions of news items, events, recognitions and honors for those in Columbia and McDuffie counties. Photos may either be e-mailed as high-resolution jpg files, or mailed as color or black and white prints. If the photo is mailed, include a stamped, self-addressed envelope for prompt return. For all events and recognition items, be sure to include a name and daytime telephone number in case more information is needed. For event notifications, please submit the items at least two weeks prior to the event to assist in timely publication. Event notifications are published on a space-available basis. Our advertising staff may be reached at (706) 868-1222 extension 128 for assistance in publicizing events in which a guaranteed publication date is needed.
