For questions with drop down menus, select ‘allow no response’ in ‘Minimum/maximum mark’ which will display the drop down menu like this: If the examinee presses submit, this would not be marked wrong, just as not attempted. If you are using negative marking, and you want students to lose marks for not attempting questions, you can add an extra option, call it ‘none’ and allocate negative marks to it.
