How can I sell a SeL-protected program?
For the case you want to sell a program from Steinberg, which is protected by a SeL, here is a guide line: • OEM products (e.g. Cubase AI 4, Cubase LE 4) cannot be sold as they come as part of a 3rd party package • Seller hands over the package, DVD for installation, manuals and the paper “Essential Product License Information (EPLI)” (if available) or the last used activation code which can be found in his existing account under “Show registered products” -> “Activation codes received online” to the purchaser • Purchaser creates a MySteinberg account (if no existing account is available) • Purchaser installs product (to create a SeL) • To get a new license: Purchaser can get a new activation code by product reactivation at the MySteinberg page.
