How can I selectively prevent a Blip from updating my Twitter/FriendFeed/Pownce profile?
Here’s the sitch: You have all your accounts set up in the Settings panel, your Blips show up on your other profiles as expected, but right now you want to blip something and prevent the message from being posted to Twitter or FriendFeed. Sometimes you don’t want to update your other accounts and it would be a pain to have to go to the settings and disable your accounts just for this one Blip. Well, you can suppress the external account updates on a blip-by-blip basis by simply starting your message with “! ” (e.g. “! This blip won’t update my Twitter status”, “This blip will update my Twitter status”). The exclamation point will be stripped out of the message too.
