This is from their website: The NCWFA runs Whippet Rescue for Northern California. We foster and find homes for whippets in need. We get whippets from the pound, as strays, or released to us by the owner. We place whippets in good permanent homes. You put an application in, and as the Whippets become available, you have opportunities to adopt. There’s tons of contact information on that page. It sounds like a great organization! It looks like they only have one purebred Whippet (male) right now, but most groups have a lot of turnaround on popular breeds like the Whippet, so getting your name in will increase your possibility of getting one!
