How can I help a woman with matted hair?
My hair easily mattes and it’s very annoying. It takes time to get them loose and you have to be very gentle with it or you might break off your hair. Or, if I approach the mattes incorrectly then I might end up getting small knots on the ends of my hair that’s just as bad. I have to keep my hair very moisturized and put oil in it and this helps combat the matting and knots. She needs a good detangler; something that will make it easier for a comb to go through her hair, and every product isn’t good at giving “slip.” She needs to shampoo her hair with a sulfate-free shampoo (something organic or natural is best) and condition it. Then use the detangler on soaking wet hair and start at the bottom removing any tangles and knots and gently pulling each strand of hair loose from the matte or knot.
