How can I get Word documents to Open with in Internet Explorer instead of being automatically downloaded?
To configure Internet Explorer to open Word files in Internet Explorer use the Folder Options tool: 1. Open My Computer. 2. On the Tools menu click Folder Options. 3. Click the File Types tab. 4. Scroll down to the DOC file type. Note the “Details for DOC extension” below the selection pane. If it says Microsoft Office Word, select the “Change” button. Change the preferred lprogram to Internet Explorer. Click “Close.” Your Word documents should now open within Internet Explorer.
