How are diplomas awarded?
Conferring of Degrees: Graduates will stand up one row at a time and approach the stage from the left. Go to the top of the steps and hand your card to the reader. When your name is read, walk across the stage, receive your diploma, shake hands with the dean (remember to hold the diploma low so your face is seen in photographs) and exit the steps at the far-right. Go to the center aisle and return to your row and seat.
