Has anyone ever broken an O2 laptop-contract?

Are you sure that wasn’t your payment in advance? Broadband contracts are paid for in advance. Forget about the laptop that is just the sweetener to get you to pay for a lengthy mobile broadband contract! So in effect you paid for December when you bought and the second payment was for the advanced payment. You are now in your third month and well past your 7 day cooling off period and you are now legally bound in law to the end of your 24 month contract. You can’t break it and if you default, then O2 have the law on their side. Refuse to pay and they will sue you and take you to court, make no mistake about that. You will end up with a CCJ against you which will seriously affect your future credit rating for 7 years As regards you going overdrawn on an unauthorised overdraft and incurring bank charges, I can’t really see how that is the fault of O2.

What is your question?
