A. Using a confidence interval to derive an exact p-value for a test requires some thought. Many people get confused about the choice of confidence level, and which tail of the confidence interval to use, when trying to derive a p-value from a confidence interval. We have to also worry about whether it is a one-sided or two-sided p-value. It is simpler just to run the exact tests of non-inferiority and equivalence that StatXact now provides.
