Does VESIcare Cause a Dry Mouth?
Dry mouth is the most common side effect of VESIcare® (solifenacin succinate), a prescription medication used to treat symptoms of an overactive bladder. VESIcare is an anticholinergic medication, and dry mouth is a common side effect of such drugs. In studies, up to 27.6 percent of people taking the drug reported having a dry mouth, compared to only 4.2 percent of people taking a placebo (a “sugar pill” with no active ingredient).
