4. Yes, it is inclusive of ESL students. The post-test alert refers to post-testing as many appropriate students as possible, across all instructional types that require testing. The alert was not intended to cause over testing. ICCB does not want programs post-testing students that are not ready to be post tested. However, for those that are appropriate, we do want programs to work on different strategies that maximize their post-testing rates. Rather than focusing on the rate itself, a program might focus on strategies that capture all those that should be post-tested but are lost in the process along the way. Programs might consider alternative or additional testing dates, procedures for make-up tests, procedures for instructors and staff to figure out when a student is leaving a program, etc.
