Variflow is not a requirement. A customer has three options besides purchasing the Variflow product: Wire activTek INDUCT units to the motor circuit so the activTek INDUCT units turn on and off with the fan motor Leave the activTek INDUCT units on continuously. The only consideration may be the buildup of oxidation gasses which will come out when the fan does turn on. The customer may notice an oxidation smell for a short period of time but our experience shows that there is no concern for safety or deterioration of the HVAC system.
