Does the BeVocal interpreter support Call Control XML (CCXML)?

0

The BeVocal interpreter does not currently support the Call Control XML working draft that has been released by the W3C. Instead, we support a limited set of Call Control features via our own set of extensions to VoiceXML. See the VoiceXML Programmer’s Guide for details. BeVocal chose this approach because, at the time, the first CCXML draft had not yet been released. We still feel that Call Control XML is not yet a stable specification and is likely to change over time. When the CCXML drafts begin to settle down, BeVocal will begin to support the new language and will provide a plan for customers to transition from our current VoiceXML extensions to the new language. Customers who wish to minimize the pain of the eventual transition should familiarize themselves with CCXML drafts as they emerge and should attempt to factor out the call control aspects of their applications from the rest of their code as much as possible.
