Does OCTRI have priority areas for its support?
We will give priority to three sorts of investigators. • Young investigators who are dedicated to building a career in clinical or translational research. • Basic investigators who are interested in developing new translational projects. • Clinical investigators who have an idea for a new cross-disciplinary collaboration. “Priority” means that many of the Institute’s resources are provided at no cost or reduced cost. The NIH grant that funds OCTRI, along with institutional resources, supports these priority projects. We are also dedicated to support other clinical or translational research projects, and will offer services at the lowest possible costs. Ideally, the investigator’s funding (grant or other funding source) will contribute to the costs of OCTRI services used.
