Does natural blonde hair turn green in pools or just dyed blonde hair?
The answer is both. As someone who happens to be a natural blond and love swimming I found a there is now a shampoo that you can get that is made to stop this from happening. It also helps if once you are out of the pool to jump right into the shower at the gym and wash your hair right then and there.
Its not something that happens the first time you get into the pool, I found it happened over time and lack of remembering to rinse it out. You can try a apple vinegar rinse to help get rid of it as well.
Good luck!
Natural blonde or not it doesn’t matter it still turns green. Since Chlorine is a mineral it’s very hard to get out of blonde hair! What I suggest you do is wet your hair with water from the sink and apply a leave in conditioner to your hair. The chlorine wont be apply to penetrate through the conditioner. And for double protection you can use Paul Mitchell Shampoo Three which is specifically meant for chlorine.
