FileHold does not offer a hosted solution ourselves because we do not want to move our focus away from supporting our licensing business model. We believe that the total cost of ownership over time will be lower by installing the server and system in house. We do have partners who host FileHold document management software for their clients. We can refer you to these hosting partners or help find a 3rd party hosting agency that can provide a dedicated server system that suited customer needs. Will FileHold allow users to send emails to external people (who don’t have a company id). Yes. FileHold document management software will pass the email via SMTP to your email server using the standard .NET email library. If your SMTP settings are set correctly in system administration AND your email server is set to allow email via SMTP from the FileHold server then you can send email.
