Dodge Nitro 4×4 problem?

I am having a problem with my 4×4 on my 2007 Nitro, every time it is engaged i have problems making sharp turns with it. It feels like my something is grinding. A: Hello. Is this your first 4×4? 4 wheel drive is best used under slippery conditions because it sends equal power to the front and rear wheels. This makes it harder to make sharp turns on dry pavement because the wheels spin at different speeds when turning. Engaging 4 wheel drive on dry pavement for long periods can actually damage the transfer case and transmission. Good Luck and enjoy.
