Wildcards (defined by the “*” symbol) will cause all email sent to the domain to forward to the address you specify. This does not affect any other assignments you create for the domain, For example, if you create a forwarding record for “sales@thisdomain.com” to go to “ben@thatdomain.com” AND set up a wild card for the domain (*@thisdomain.com), it will not override the forwarding set up for the sales alias.
