Do users need to dial differently to use US Directory Assistance?

0

Yes and No. Most US Directory Assistance customers do not dial differently. They have programmable telephone systems, such as a PBX, which allow them to automatically redirect a caller’s 411 call to our toll free access number. In this scenario, users continue to dial as they always have. If you do not have a programmable phone system or your system’s programming capabilities are limited you can still use US Directory Assistance, but it will involve a change for the user. For example, you can setup a speed dial button that will dial the toll free access number. However, unless you can force users to dial differently they’re unlikely to do so and US Directory Assistance is not typically a good application in such cases.
