DO TUTORS RECEIVE JOB TRAINING?
The tutoring program is certified by the College Reading and Learning Association (http://www.crla.net). Tutors who participate in the interactive training workshops and complete the required hours of tutoring can become certified tutors. Being a certified tutor provides you with training to enhance your skills, a higher rate of pay and increased skill in working with students. Training is offered each semester. Tutors will help currently enrolled Wingate students with any stage of the writing process, including planning, drafting and revising.
