Do students really have a say in NIRSA?
Why of course they do! NIRSA is an awesome association in which students have the same priority as professionals! The organization offers leadership opportunities for students to serve as State Student Representatives and Regional Student Representatives, and the opportunity for a student to sit on the Board of Directors as the National Student Representative! In August of 2005 student leadership opportunities will increase due to the roll out of the Campus Contact Program which will encourage more students to become active, and increase student representation within the organization. Along with having representation at every possible level, we also have seven votes at the annual business meeting. The National Student Representative and six Regional Student Representatives vote at the business meeting on issues affecting the leadership of the association and its bylaws.
