Do part-time academic faculty qualify for health insurance?
• A: Part-time faculty teaching two or more courses in a semester are eligible for health insurance. For one semester of teaching, fall or spring, academics are entitled to 26 weeks of benefits, including health, dental, and vision coverage. If they teach two courses or more in both the fall and spring semesters, academics are entitled to a full year of coverage.
