Do Mormons observe Lent?

Lent – as far as I know – is only don’t by a few churches like the Catholic churches and the United Methodist Church….probably some others too. We do celebrate easter in a way – except we don’t focus on the tourture and death – but of the ressurection. We preach the gospel of the living Christ – not the beaten and crucified Christ. He overcame those things and because of that he has given us the opportunity to do those things as long as we put our faith in Him.
