Do I need to install the drivers and software for my Intel network card even though its working?
You probably don’t need to add any additional software, though putting it on may mean that if at some future time you have a problem, it may make life a touch easier (insofar as knowing you can run any diagnostics without having hunt for the software to install at that time). Some network cards offer ‘wake system’ on network access (so PC can go into a power saving mode but be returned to full performance when some data comes on the network to that IP) – may not be included on that particular card/software but it doesn’t (in my view) really ‘clutter’ your system to have the software on the machine – it’s not like it will slow the machine down, just be there for if you need it.
