Do I Need the Oracle Delegated Administration Services or the Oracle Directory Integration and Provisioning Components?
These components are optional, but you might want to install them because they provide the following services: Oracle Delegated Administration Services provide a browser-based interface to Oracle Internet Directory. Users can use the interface to perform tasks such as changing their passwords, searching for other users in the directory, and creating groups. Users can even create additional users (if they have the proper privilege). Oracle Directory Integration and Provisioning enables you to integrate applications and third-party LDAP directories with Oracle Internet Directory. You can use Oracle Directory Integration and Provisioning to synchronize data in all directories, and to send notifications to applications when data in Oracle Internet Directory changes (for example, when you add users or groups to Oracle Internet Directory).
