Do I need a password to access ejournals?

0

Different journal providers have different access arrangements. For some ejournals you will always need a password in order to access it, for others you will only need a password from off-campus and some are freely available to everyone, so a pasword is never required. The access table lists what the arrangements are for each provider on- and off-campus. When you find a journal you are interested in accessing, note the name of the provider(s) listed for each journal. Find the name of that provider in the access table and you will see whether or not a password is needed, and if so, which one.

Wherever possible an ejournal is available to all King’s users. However, publishers sometimes restrict use to a particular campus or group of users. If a password is required then this will show up after clicking on the SFX button. King’s staff and students can look up many passwords on the Passwords page.
